Carl G Must have been the pandemic because I loved this series from the start, but then, what in the world happened to this series??? Either way, this show plummeted deep after series 8,,,what in the world happended??? Rated 1/5 Stars Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/27/23 Full Review KdD 7 CHICAGO SERIES OF SHOWS ARE MY MUST SEE TV DVD EVERY SHOW TO BINGE WATCH! Rated 5/5 Stars Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/23 Full Review Bruno V I feel really angry because this is one of my favorite series. From the beginning to the end of season seven it was fantastic all the character development, the characters acting like police. But now, I watched the eighth season and I was amazed at the absurdity of what they did to this series! From the first to the last episode of the eighth season, there's only "sealing", no real police acting, it was more like silly theater. It was either racism storylines, Hank 'peace&love' Voight or the Jay/Hailey soap opera. I don't recall any other couple in the show being this lackluster as Jay and Hailey was, seriously. Rated 1/5 Stars Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this show. It's the only show I "must see" when it airs. The content is very interesting and their chemistry is undeniable- I'm so grateful for that because I think the best shows are the most natural, contemporaneous and relevant but I know it's fiction (lol). The acting, writing and directing are what keep me coming back. The execution is flawless. I really miss the exceptional acting and chemistry from some of the original cast- I don't know what happened there- I wished they could've kept those characters- it was perfect. Don't change anything else. I do have one complaint the flow (storylines) kind-of goes up and down or all-over-the-place as the season goes on and I wish it would just crescendo. It plays with my emotions from week-to week. Some episodes are kind-of a "let down" but not because it's not good but because the previous episode was too good or they didn't explore the storyline enough- whatever. I don't know why that is- maybe they interchange the writers from week-to-week idk but... If that's my only complaint, then I think it's still an excellent show. Keep it up!
