These easy taco shrimp are perfect as a main course, or remove the tails and make shrimp tacos!

It’s nearly impossible to dislike shrimp. Versatile and great with almost anything, shrimp are a fantastic way to get some protein.

Clean Eating Taco Shrimp Recipe (1)

I always purchase my shrimp in 1-pound frozen bags. They are pre-cooked which just makes life easier in my book. Plus, I don’t have to worry about having to eat them immediately if they are frozen. It’s a win-win!

I figure I’ve cooked just about everything I can using my Taco Seasoning, but shrimp was the last frontier.

Now I can honestly say that frontier has been conquered. And boy, was it good! These would be fantastic for shrimp tacos, or you can just eat them on their own like Mini Chef and I did!

  12. How would you make a paleo shrimp taco? Any thoughts?

    1. Kelli – Hmmm… it all boils down to the tortilla, doesn’t it… I’ll have to think that one over. I suppose you could use lettuce, but that’s more like a wrap. I’ll see if I can figure anything out.

  13. Hello Gracious Pantry!!!

Hopefully you get this in time, because I am making this tonight!! What toppings do you use for these tacos?? The normal toppings or do you make a slaw or mango topping??? If so, I need some suggestions!! I’m not creative when coming up with food pairings!!
Thank you for the yummy recipes!

    1. Aliza – I assume you mean toppings to put inside the actual taco? I stick to the basics for that. Shredded lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, etc. But if you want to get fancy, you could certainly use a mango salsa. You really can’t go wrong here. Hope you enjoy it!

  14. Sounds yummy & easy! Just like your Clean eating Italian Style shrimp. My only question is it better to use frozen raw shrimp or frozen pre-cooked shrimp? I always thought it if the shrimp was already cooked it would just get smaller or tough. If you do it with frozen pre-cooked shrimp…how long to you warm them up in the skillet for with the seasoning?

Thanks…I can’t wait to try both recipes.

    1. Andrea – I’ve never had a problem with it. But you only cook the shrimp until they are warmed (if they are pre-cooked). If you prefer to use raw shrimp, feel free. Just be sure they get fully cooked. Either one should work fine here. 🙂
