As the candy company said back then, jumbles are chock-full of chocolate, raisins and nuts — with just enough dough to hold them all together!
Jumbles: Retro-style cookies made with m&ms mini baking bits (1994)

Jumble cookies
Yield: 32 cookies
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Additional Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup firmly-packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 ounces m&ms MINIS baking bits
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a bowl, beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy; add egg.
- Combine flour and baking soda; blend into creamed mixture.
- Stir in m&ms mini baking bits, raisins, and nuts.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough (1-1/2 inch balls), about 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheets.
- Bake 13 to 15 minutes.
- Cool 2 to 3 minutes on cookie sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool thoroughly. Store in a tightly-covered container.

I have finally been able to find these mini m&m’s again, but they are only available in a 10.10 oz package, and this recipe calls for a 12 oz package, so I have to purchase 2 packages, and then I have leftover m&m’s. Why can’t these be available in a 12 oz size?
