FPL experts: 2024/25 forward price predictions (2024)

The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts predict how players will be priced next season and explain their reasoning.

Forwards
Alexander Isak (Newcastle)

Pras (@Pras_FPL): Isak started the season at £7.5m and finished it really strongly. With no European football for Newcastle next time out, I expect a big Premier League campaign. He should not be too much cheaper than Ollie Watkins, so £8.5m feels right.
Prediction: Isak £8.5m

Erling Haaland (Man City)

Sam Bonfield(@FPLFamily): Haaland is a difficult player to price. He took the Premier League by storm in his first season, but this campaign he never consistently hit the same heights - despite winning the Golden Boot. He started the season at £14.0m - the joint-highest price EVER in FPL - and I am torn whether I think he will be held there. Based on injuries and inconsistencies, £13.5m feels fairer. However, if he remains £14.0m that wouldn't upset me too much.
Prediction: Haaland £13.5m

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

Harry Daniels (@FPL_Harry): Watkins started the season at £8.0m and had another incredible campaign as he continues to thrive under Unai Emery. I expect him to be the second-most expensive forward in FPL, coming in at £10.0m.
Prediction: Watkins £10.0m

Dominic Solanke (AFC Bournemouth)

Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL): There's going to be a lot of interest in Solanke, who was initially valued at £6.5m, from various Premier League clubs this summer after his 19-goal campaign. If he stays with the Cherries then a price tag of £8.0m - the same as Watkins' starting price this season - would be fair.
Prediction: Solanke £8.0m

Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea)

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick): Jackson had a campaign of ups and downs and that's reflected in his price - he started the season at £7.0m and finished at £7.0m. Despite the mixed campaign, 14 goals and six assists is actually quite impressive for his first season in the Premier League. I can see a slight price hike and him costing £8.0m next season.
Prediction: Jackson £8.0m

Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace)

Pranil Sheth (@lateriser12): Mateta was very cheap this season at £5.0m. Given how Palace clicked, I am expecting him to come in at £7.5m, given his 16 goals and seven assists across only 2,274 minutes.
Prediction: Mateta £7.5m

Rasmus Hojlund (Man Utd)

Az Phillips (@FPLBlackBox_Az): Hojlund came in at a very tempting £7.0m when he signed for Manchester United. 10 goals and two assists wasn't a bad return, but there were a lot of blanks. I can see him staying at £7.0m, or maybe getting a small price increase to £7.5m, as he looks to build on a fairly successful debut season.
Prediction: Hojlund £7.0m

Darwin Nunez (Liverpool)

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily): Having peaked at only £0.3m more than his starting price of £7.5m, I just can’t see how FPL justifies a significant price increase. Finishing 10th among forwards and only a point ahead of Yoane Wissa and Chris Wood is hardly a season to shout about.

I’m also intrigued as to where and how he fits into Arne Slot’s new system at Anfield - so all eyes will be on pre-season. A small increase to £8.0m then, perhaps, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see FPL hold his price at £7.5m.
Prediction: Nunez £8.0m

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton)

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice): Calvert-Lewin was available for most of the season and didn't feature on only six occasions in 2023/24. With just seven goals his price could drop to £5.5m, but with the appeal of penalties, his price will probably remain at £6.0m.
Prediction: Calvert-Lewin £6.0m
