Another Great North Shore Vacation

This place was incredible! The turtles, whales, sunsets, and the location were beyond belief. Hawaii Beach Homes never disappoints, and this house in no exception. My family is already planning next year's trip.

Amazing

I was there with my daughter and my mother, three generations of us girls. We truly had a blast. Beautiful beach access, oceanfront, comfortable rooms, safe, well kept kitchen... so much space... Haleiwa is breathtaking. Could not have asked for more. Would definitely stay here again.

North Shore beach location hard to beat

If you are looking for a quiet beach getaway on a beautiful beach and have no need for luxury amenities then this is the place. Located on a road off the main highway on a gated property with spacious grounds and opening straight onto a palm fringed quiet beach, with either no one or very few people on it. A basic beach bungalow which is tired and rustic but has all the basic facilities you need. You’re paying for the location to stay here. A short 5 min drive from town of Haleiwa which has supermarket, shops and eateries. Another supermarket and food trucks 10 min away in the other direction at Pupukea. Our stay was in Dec when it was windy and had great surf so not safe for swimming apart from just at the waters edge. Thought we had missed out on seeing turtles as other reviewers had commented but pleasantly surprised to see a few beached on our last 2 days. If you feel need to visit Waikiki the drive into the city is easy, well lit at night taking about 40-60 mins depending on traffic.

Renewing!

Absolutist worth the price! Great location, private and secluded, even has it's own cute kitty cat that hangs around. Would recommend putting an A/C on the house. There is only so much an ocean breeze can cool, and I'm from Arizona where we do HOT! A great place and would love to come back!

A little slice of Heaven...

Perfectly located this charming 3 bedroom 2 bath home was just the perfect way to spend our Birthday celebrations. Quiet neighborhood and just a short drive to the quaint town of Haleiwa with its boutique shops and charming little restaurants. In the morning take a swim in the beautiful ocean and in the evening relax on the covered porch and watch the west facing sunsets every night.

Awesome location!

Loved the location-close to town and beautiful beach to swim, surf, walk, and watch turtles! We saw at least one turtle everyday. The lanai was perfect in sun and rain. Watched the waves while eating breakfast. Beds/pillow very comfortable and there were extra pillows/blankets/fans. Property was clean and as advertised. Property management company was excellent, very on top of any issues we had. I would suggest more glass/dishware and towels though, so you don't have to run the dishwasher as often. Also need 6 kitchen dining chairs to fit everyone. Would definitely come back! Thank you!

Amazing Location

The location is the best we've found on the North Shore. The beach is quiet with great snorkeling and lots of turtles. The house is nicely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. There is no AC but the many fans work great. It could use a few beach chairs and toys that are hard for visitors to pack. Note that the second bathroom is in the detached garage, There is also an outdoor shower that is heated. It is smaller than it appears in the pictures.

Loved our Stay

We had a wonderful time at this beach house. The location is perfect with a nice quiet beach out front and is a long beach to walk on. The house was perfect for us three nice bedrooms with one bathroom it’s cozy but has everything you need. The kitchen is awesome to cook in with lots of supplies, pans, utensils and everything you might need. The property is very big with lots of grass and a nice porch area to have meals and look out at the water. We would definitely stay again.

Hale Kipuka Heaven

Beautiful beachfront cottage. Our activities were limited by the Covid pandemic, but we loved the beach and North Shore. We were primarily just 2 people during our stay and the cottage fit our needs. Owners description of their home is accurate, and property manager is very attentive and professional.

Manager Response: Mahalo for taking the time to review. Laniakea is a very special beach, we are so happy you enjoyed your time here and hope to have you back.

Great house but on TV for two days.

This is a wonderful house in a wonderful location. The day of arrival we discovered the Two TVs were not working probably. Sadly it took two days to get it fixed. The slow response to this problem is the only complaint Ihave. Everything else was wonderful.

Manager Response: Thank you for staying with us, and for taking the time to write a review. We are very sorry that it took two days to get the cable fixed. When such things happen we are at the mercy of the cable company, and we thank you for your patience. We are so happy that you otherwise enjoyed the house!

Excellent beach house was as described

We had a great experience at this beach house. It was as described with no surprises. Everything was very clean and in working order. We weren't charged for anything other than the quoted price. The staff was very responsive when we called them and very helpful. I would DEFINITELY rent this place again. It's spendy but worth it if you want a nice place on the beach at the North Shore.

Manager Response: Thank you for taking the time to review, Andrew! We are so happy you enjoyed Hale Kipuka, and hope to see you again. Mahalo for staying with us.

Fantastic location and a great stay

This property was perfectly located - on a quiet dead end road, overlooking the beach. We were fortunate enough to see, on different days, an endangered green turtle and seal on the beach directly outside the house - wow!

Although at this time of year the sea can be rough we were able to swim in the sea directly outside the home, although smaller children would have had difficulty in doing so, at least at this time of year. The beach under the surf was largely sandy, but one had to be aware of the occasional rocky surface - appropriate footwear would be a good idea.

The home is located near the surf town of Haleiwa, on the north shore. We were very satisfied with our choice of location on the north shore. Whilst the house is within walking distance of Haleiwa (say, two miles), in practice, since you would need to walk most of the way there on a busy coastal road you would drive to Haleiwa.

The home was as advertised. The lack of air conditioning was not a problem, certainly not at this time of year in December and the second bathroom being in the garage did not detract from enjoyment of the property. The internet connection was very quick and reliable. The property could have been better equipped with utensils (for example, with a can opener) and more and better crockery.

We were very satisfied with our stay and would stay here again - the location cannot be beaten.

Relaxing on the Beach

It was relaxing and wonderful to just walk out and be on the beach. A turtle came to visit us which was super cool.
Having the second bathroom in the garage was nice actually. The iron and ironing board were there too which made it easy to get a big group of people ready.
The management was very nice and accommodating.
The kitchen was semi-equipped, there was no can opener, salt and pepper were the only spices.

that beach!

honestly, i don't want anyone to know, but have to acknowledge this very cute beach house on a beautiful beach. we loved it! only downside was there were no tradewinds while we were there (storms and global warming!) so it was a bit hot at times. A suggestion to mgmt would be a small air con (pinguino!).
can't wait to stay again and frolic on the beach w floaties, some wine and spectacular sunset - amazing!

Sublime House and Ideal Place

A beautiful house located on one of the most popular beaches of the island.
I recommend this house because in the evening you only have noises, the sound of waves and the songs of birds.
By cons, it is advisable to book a year in advance, that's what we did because the place is just magical.

Relaxation

For us Hale Kapuka was perfect. Loved everything about it. Location was great. Very nice and quiet neighborhood. Grounds were beautiful as well as the beach, which we pretty much had to ourselves, just steps through a well manicured back yard.
Our friends and their adult daughters from Texas met us here. This made a ideal spot for a reunion. Plenty of space to relax either on the beach or in the shade of the yard around the house.
The house was comfortable and clean. Beds were comfortable as well. There is no A/C but for us this was not an issue. There always seemed to be a nice breeze and cool nights made sleeping comfortable. They also had fans available.
The kitchen had sufficiently stocked with pots, pans and what not. Other places we’ve stayed had some spices, this did not, which isn’t a real issue as we only made a couple dinners there. They do have a grill, which was nice.
We would definitely stay here again

Hale Kipuka Beachhouse

The location of this property is amazing. Right off the beach - very much a surf beach, not a swimming beach, but you can watch surfers right from the patio. The home itself is small. Even though it is listed as a three bedroom, it would be cozy for more than one family. The kitchen is well appointed. There is only one bathroom in the main house. There is another bathroom and laundry in the detached garage. There is no air conditioning which is really the only negative. We would definitely stay here again if air conditioning became available. I will say that the management company was superb. All of our dealings were excellent. There was an issue with the wifi service provider and it was dealt with within 24hrs (amazing!).

High scores but with a few issues

This is an excellent property in a fantastic location. We found the place to be very well-stocked with towels and supplies, including a full kitchen with everything you would need. The beds were not great and I think for the price they should be replaced which would make it more comfortable. Also, one of the lounge chairs was rusted which broke on my wife Not good! The other thing to be aware of is that the second bathroom is actually located outside in a converted garage. This should be disclosed to potential renters. We had six people staying on the property so although it was nice to have a second bathroom, having to go outside to access it was not ideal. Overall, this is a very private property with immediate beach access which can’t be beat. If the above issues were addressed, I would give it five stars across-the-board.

Good Golly.

This has to be the most charming little house I have ever rented. And the beach! All located in what I have come to believe is the absolute best location in Haleiwa - a quiet, tree lined street with elegant homes in walking distance of town. The staff was marvelous, very friendly and informative. Cannot think of a thing to complain about, other than the fact we had to check out.

Perfect North Shore setting

Clean and functional vacation home. Steps down to an amazing beach and crystal clear ocean. The sea turtles that visited were an extra bonus.
Overall clean and well cared for, a few little bits of wear and tear (and rust) but nothing that would spoil your enjoyment. All appliances were good as was Internet speed. Loved the outdoor shower too.

Our only issue was when we first arrived, it was a 33 degree August afternoon, I think the dishwasher had been on too. There were no windows open or blinds drawn and it was like stepping into a sauna. With there being no AC it was tough to cool down during the first night even with every window open. The office were very professional and even offered for us to go and purchase more fans, but in the end we did not need to.

The only other little gripe is not the fault of the rental company, but one neighbour is noisy, and it seems a bit deliberately so, guess he must get sick of a stream of different renters.

Overall though a great stay and totally recommended. Very well organised professional rental company too.

Perfection On North Shore

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids aged 16, 14, 9) thought we had arrived in paradise at Hale Kipuka. After staying 1 night in Waikiki, we really loved the vibe of the north shore and staying at this charming, updated home for 5 nights was perfect for our family. We absolutely loved the privacy of the yard, the beautiful beach, and most of all the wrap around porch. After each day's activities, we were happy to come home for a relaxing evening. After considering a lot of options on where to stay on the north shore and deciding on resort vs home, the Hale Kipuka was a real gem. Our Hawaiin vacation could not have been any better.

Hawaii Vacation

Our experience with the Hale Kapuka house was exceptional. What a beautiful home right on the ocean. Oahu's North Shore is a very special place and we were delighted to spend time there.
We arrived at 3:00 PM and the house was not quite ready. Cleaning was in final stages but within 15 minutes we were in and starting our vacation. The house was clean, and the kitchen was well equiped with everything we needed for our stay.
There are many signs posted in the neighborhood and on maps indicating that it was a high theft area. This was initially very disconcerting. We had to sleep with all windows and doors locked at night which meant we were quite warm a couple of nights. One shade in the guest bedroom would not pull down and stay down. Other than that we had no problems or issues.

MARY C.
Dec 2016

Manager Response: We thank this guest for leaving the review. The neighborhood Hale Kipuka is located in is considered one of the finest in the state, and homes here are very sought after. It is a safe, family friendly neighborhood. But recently signs did go up regarding theft, due to sea turtles. Yes, sea turtles. The nearby beach is a feeding ground for sea turtles. There is a parking area about a mile from the house used by tourists who want to walk to the beach to see the turtles, but this parking area has been temporarily closed down. This leads to guests parking in random spots along the side of the road, and running down to the beach to take a quick photo or view the turtles. They often leave their bags behind in their rental cars, and when they get back their bags are gone! Hence, "high theft area" pertains to rental cars, but not homes. This home has a gated driveway and lots of room for parking, so your rental car will never be on the road.

Amazing trip to the North Shore

We had an amazing time. Spent 5 nights at the house. The location could not have been more perfect. Steps down to the beach. Wish the house had air conditioning but it does have plenty of fans. The weather was just right. The experience was just perfect.

Great Location!!

Hale Kipuka is in a great location about halfway between Hale'iwa and Waimea. It is a quiet and secluded location with lots of great breezes to keep the house cool. We had a wonderful time and hope to return in a couple years. The walkway to the beach did have a significant drop off at the end as if one step is missing. Getting my 70-year old father who has had 2 back surgeries to the beach was difficult and getting him back up was even worse. I would not recommend this house to anyone who likes to walk on the beach and is not fully ambulatory.

Big Surf

Our experience was excellent. The only reason we rated the properties condition a 4 was the oven didn't work and the living room furniture was not very comfortable. Otherwise the condition of the property was a 5. The beach was beautiful.
During our stay we had big surf which was exciting and fun to watch. It was big enough that they had the "EDDIE" surf competition which apparently requires 40+ foot waves and only happens every 4-8 years. I would recommend this home to anyone.

Mark E.
Mar 2016

Manager Response: Thank you for the review! The living room was completely redecorated about a year ago. The oven was actually working when our handyman went in, the pilot light had simply gone out.

Primo location, house good but a bit musty

Couldn't picture a better location to stay on Oahu. Love the North Shore, laid back & gorgeous. Spot is very close to Haleiwa to pop in for dinner and offset from the highway which is rare for the N Shore. Nice little upscale neighborhood, reminded me a bit of Puako on the Big Island if anybody's ever staid there. Turtles hanging out on the beach. Beautiful sand but surf too big to swim in March. The house itself was getting just a little bit tired from being rented & felt pretty musty. Bathroom was smallish, smelled bad, and had a mediocre shower. Beds were moderately comfortable. Plethora of towels. Overall not bad at all but if you're going to stay here make sure you're doing it for the location, not the inside of the house. Which don't get me wrong, is fine, just not the greatest ever.

Wonderful stay

We loved being right on the beach. The kids went boogie boarding every morning after breakfast. I loved that we were so close to all Haleiwa had to offer but we were in a residential quiet neighborhood. I also liked that we were fairly centrally located to see the rest of the Oahu island. The house was nicely decorated. It had a great kitchen with everything you should need to cook a great meal. The laundry room was very nice. I think one of the greatest things was the outside shower which kept a lot of sand out of the house. Would love to return someday.

Location, location!

We were thrilled with the location of this property. The beach and ocean are just a few steps from the backyard. The sound of the ocean, especially at night, was soothing. Watching whales and surfers from the back porch was a kick and seeing huge turtles make their way onto the sandy beach was so cool.

Family vacation

First, the property is beautiful and our time there was delightful. We had a few problems, that I'd like to identify in hopes of improvement for the next vacationers.

1. Our arrival was hampered by the fact that an unknown truck was parked in the driveway and the mailbox was on the ground. As we arrived in the rain and dark, finding the property was a bit frustrating.
2. The bathroom in the detached garage is a problem. Every single day it backed up and by the end of the stay, it did begin to smell.
3. No internet. Called on Sunday and left message with property manager. Call not returned so we called again on Monday. Problem was not resolved and the suggestion that we call the carrier to resolve seemed inappropriate.
4. It would be helpful to tenants if the information about the area at the house were updated.
5. Generally the house is complaints. At some point, things should be updated (knob on stove to indicate temperature, cannot be read, one of the burners needs to be lit with lighter, teflon pan needs to be replaced)

Jodie M.
Jan 2016

Manager Response: 1. The mailbox had fallen over so someone was there fixing this when the guests arrived, the handyman there introduced himself. There was still plenty of room for guests to park, and the mailbox is quite far from the house so he wasn't in their way while repairing it. The repair didn't take much time. 2. Issues with the second bathroom were not reported, as soon as we were informed by cleaners it was fixed. 3. Guests called Sunday evening, and at 7:48 again Monday morning before we had a chance to return the call from the night prior. There is a simple troubleshoot list that we go over with guests which these guests were reluctant to perform. For instance, if you unplug the modem for about 10 seconds then plug it back in this usually resolves problems. This isn't a common problem at this house, but something that does happen occasionally at all of our homes. We called Oceanic cable, they wanted to troubleshoot with the guests while they were in the house as it seemed the issue was with their device, not the cable/internet. The guests did not want to speak to Oceanic. When the cleaners went into the home upon departure they unplugged the modem, when they plugged it back in it was working. It seemed that the guests did not try this solution. 4. We provide guests with an app that includes directions to the house, move in instructions, maps, and our suggestions for local activities, dining, massage therapy, farmers markets, etc. There is also a pdf version available. 5. We will replace the teflon pan. We are very glad that the guests felt the property was beautiful and had a delightful time.

What a fantastic place!

We got this house recommended by friends who rated it quite high. So we hoped reality would live up to their praises. It didn't - it was even better! The beach is nearly private, we saw turtles daily, the kitchen was spacious, 2 of the 3 bedrooms were overlooking the beach and the garden offered plenty of space for the kids to play. Only the bathroom was a bit small, and I wouldn't go with more than 4. All in all, this was our perfect little island on the island!

Great Vacation Home

We loved our stay at Hale Kipuka. This house was in such a great location. Our first day there we saw 2 sea turtles on the beach in front of the house! We used the outside of the house just as much as the inside. Being near the town of Hale'iwa was just as great. It is a very cool town with so many shops and places to eat. The house was very clean and comfortable. The local people from the island were always so welcoming and kind. I would stay here again in a second.

Amazing Vacation

Our stay here was amazing. Our first trip to Hawaii was really perfect especially since we stayed at the house. Everyone fit perfectly in the house (4 adults, 2 toddlers, and a 5 year old). The beds are very comfortable. The ceiling fans in every room help tremendously when the house gets warm. Just open up all the windows and doors and turn on the fans for great a great breeze. New furniture in the living room really opened up the main area. Every night sleeping with the waves crashing outside is something I'm already missing. The beach is amazing and very swimmable. We saw sea turtles on the beach and in the surf almost everyday. We even saw humpback whales breaching in the distance.

The only thing that was problematic (hardly anything to note) was the screen doors. The one in the front and back were in need of some tlc.

There are some boogie boards, snorkels, masks, fins, and extra flip flops at the house. Also Jenga, playing cards, and a couple games in the cabinet. Lizards galore outside, if your kids like them as much as mine do. Oh, we found a pack n play in the closet. It wasn't noted below, but there is one there. There are beach towels and bath towels, laundry detergent, dish detergent too, in case you need it. The outdoor shower is awesome after coming off the beach.

Haleiwa's main drag is about a 5 minute drive. Market, restaurants, surf/paddleboard rentals/lessons, shops, food trucks. The opposite way, go to Wiamea Bay for great swimming especially if you head far to the right where it is very calm for kids.

We loved our stay here. We were pouting big time as we packed up before leaving. You will love it.

The Perfect Retreat!!!!!

My wife and three month old son met up there with our friends and their 5 month old daughter for an extra long weekend and it was PERFECT!!! The pictures don't do this place justice. It is on a very private street next to some amazing homes and sits 20' from the beach. The beach itsel is relatively quick with people besides the occasional turtle that would beach itself to bask in the sun for a few hours. We saw 5 during our stay. The property layout is great and the wrap around porch was awesome to sit under during the few afternoon rain sprinkles. The lawn area between the house and the beach allowed us to BBQ and picnic everyday while running the little ones in for their naps. Kitchen is really nice and workable for food prep. Honestly... I can't say a bad thing about the house. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more. Thanks to the rental team for an easy check in process and we look forward to visiting sometime down the road.

What an awesome, relaxing vacation!

We had a wonderful time at this house! Everything was as described and we would definitely stay here again. HBH made sure everything was going smoothly and fixed any issues quickly- stove wouldn't light the first day and a T.V. was broken in the living room when we got there. It was all repaired by the next day, which was more than fine for us.
The location couldn't have been better! We loved the beach access and how private it was. There was at least one turtle on the beach everyday. Some days we didn't even leave the house. It was very relaxing.
We can't wait to come back and stay again! Thank you HBH!!

Beachfront Haleiwa

Our family of of five loved this house! The large front yard, the amazing location on the beach, the turtles we saw everyday and an extremely well equipped house! The property management company were efficient right from the start to the end of our stay and always friendly and helpful. Would definitely use again. Awesome.

Wonderful Home

We loved this beautiful home on the North Shore!! We loved sitting on the front porch and enjoying being right on the water. Our kids were constantly swimming in the ocean right in front of the house. It is close to Haleiwa so we ate in Haleiwa every night at several great restaurants.

The only negative thing is that from 10-2, it was extremely hot in the house. We wish the owner would have had at least one air conditioning unit in the master bedroom. We stayed there the first week of June 2014.

Incredible property!

Glorious Getaway

The home was perfectly maintained, comfortable and delightful. We enjoyed visits from a monk seal and many turtles. It is the perfect location for a vacation that allows exercise, time in the sun, long walks on beautiful beaches and unblemished ocean access. It was our second time in this wonderful home, and it was as great as the first visit!

Amazing location

This is an amazing location, right on the beach, big yard perfect for active kids, beautiful floor to ceiling windows/sliding doors to see the view from each room and hear the ocean waves/feel the breeze. Turtles came to the beach each afternoon to sleep. Very close to Haleiwa town. The only complaint is that the plumbing in the 2nd bathroom, located in a renovated garage space, wasn't working properly so 6 of us had to use 1 bathroom in the home. We would definitely return and can't wait to do so!

Definitely Paradise

Our family visits Hawaii regularly but we had never visited Oahu. I was hesitant to change islands and lodgings, but after staying on the northshore in this wonderful house, we are glad we made the change. The house is very comfortable and well maintained. The house and backyard overlook a great beach, with quick access to Haliewa. This is definitely a house we look forward to renting again.

Turtles an added bonus

Stunning location and magnificent views. The garden was very well maintained and provided sunny spaces to sit throuhout the day. Direct acccess to the beach is a real advantage and watching the turtles was a delightful experience.
Property was generally spotless, the only exception was the shower.
Generally very well equiped except the crockery which consisted of odd numbers of items many of which were badly chipped. All of the crockery needs urgent replacement as it lowers the overall standard. Some cups and saucers would have been appreciated.
The property would benefit from air conditioning.
The booking process was efficient. We had no contact with the management company from the day we arrived (not even a friendly aloha or call to check everthing was OK)until the day of our departure. The management company assumed we had access to emails and their only communication was to give instructions for our departure, including doing the laundry, and the consequences if we did not follow their instructions.
I seldom make recommendations about any goods or services, but if asked if I would use this property again the answer is a resounding yes.

A perfect holiday retreat!

This house is perfectly located on a quiet stretch of beach, accessed via steps at the front of the property. We saw huge turtles sunbathing on the sand almost every day! The house itself is in great condition and includes everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The kitchen is very well set up, and there are supermarkets nearby in Haleiwa (5 mins drive) and Pupukea (15 mins drive). There is no air-conditioning, but we really didn't need it - there are lots of windows and doors (all with screens) so you can open the house right up, turn on the fans and enjoy the cross-breezes. The house also has a large yard so it's perfect for families. I highly recommend this wonderful vacation property.

The PERFECT way to experience Oahu!

The house was everything we expected and more! The location was exceptional-walkout to the beautiful, quiet beach. In my opinion, there was no need to visit ant of the other beaches as ours was amazing and there were really tourists around. Could watch the whales from the front porch and lay near the sea turtles in the beach. The house was well-equipped, including the kitchen, for our family of six. Really appreciated the use of the washing machine! I rate this experience a 5 out of 5!

Dream get away

From the first time we drove up to the property we new that this house was amazing. The grounds are very well looked after and the view of the house with a wrap around porch made the house very inviting. The house was also very clean inside with plenty of room for a family of 5. The views of the pacific & the beach was breath taking. Every day sea turtles would swim up on the beach to rest all day. Also, the town of Haleiwa is only 2 miles down the road. Special thanks to Amy, Sara and Lani at Hawaiian Beach Homes who help us through all of the details for this special trip.

We can't wait to return!!

Thank you very much for a much needed-relaxing and perfect vacation experience! The house was all that we hoped and more! Location was beyond perfect! Very close to town and other beaches that we hoped to visit, yet private and beautiful! The house was amazing-steps down to a very private beach (still of course open to the public but we hardly saw another person). The turtles right down the steps on the beach made the experience even more wonderful! The house was equipped with all that we needed! We are looking forward to returning again!!

Beautiful Beachfront Home and great location

This home is very clean, perfect for a small family. There is a separate room in a converted garage with a 3/4 bath and laundry. The main house has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The beach is just a few steps from back of the house. We were able to take a nice walk down the beach every day. This might not be the best choice for a snorkel beach this time of year as it was very rough (January) the entrance to the water was steep and rocky. However there are many places to go snorkeling and surfing right up the road. We would and likely will stay here again.

great location

We loved our stay at Hale Kipuka! A beautiful beach with great waves and daily visits from sea turtles all in our back yard. We woke up on our first day to a rainbow over the ocean! We cooked most of our meals and found the kitchen well equipped. It was very clean and the property is very well maintained. My only complaint is that I couldn't stay there longer. Hopefully we will be back soon!

Excellent, quiet location.

This is one of the few quiet locations on the North Shore for smaller parties or couples looking for a relaxing break. This is the second time we have stayed here and both times have been tremendous. Although compared with two years ago, small niggles including very cheap, tatty recliners and garden furniture in need of update or repair, linens and crockery badly needing replacement, prevent this being 5 stars for us this time.

WOW!

We stayed here as part of my husband's 50th birthday celebration. I have to say, this was an outstanding experience from beginning to end! The beach is beautiful, the house is SO comfortable, and it was pure luxury to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean each night. We can't wait to bring the rest of our family to this lovely home for a nice, long stay. This was our first trip to Hawai'i and it was a perfect introduction to the lushness and aloha spirit! Thank you!!

Paradise

This is somewhere we definitely plan to stay again. The location is secluded, yet not too far from Hale'iwa town. The surroundings were stunning. The house was a good size for our family of 4 and we loved sitting outside to eat. We had several turtles swimming right outside the house and a seal came up onto the beach. We didn't miss the air-conditioning. Opening the doors and turning on the fans quickly cooled the house down. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Best- Ever Beach Vacation

The best-ever beach vacation! The house is beautiful. It is well-kept and well-appointed, with everything you will need. You can see the ocean and hear the waves from nearly every room in the house. The beach is just a few steps from the house. It is quiet and private, with just a few other folks around. The ocean bottom is soft and sandy, and the water is fairly shallow. The waves are gentle and playful (in the summer). The sea turtles are amazing and entertaining. The water is warm, and it's sunny almost every day. Nearby are opportunities to learn snorkeling, surfing or stand-up paddling. Also, there are plenty of fun places to eat, shop and explore. Please note that this house does not have air-conditioning, but does have sliding glass doors in almost every room, which let in the cooling breezes of the trade winds. That is wonderful during the day. However, at night, when the sliding doors are closed for security and privacy, it would be more comfortable to have air-conditioning rather than just fans. However, I still think this is the perfect place for a beach vacation!

An excellent vacation home

Our family of four had a great time at this place, it's located on a large beach with some of the best reef right out front. It had a great swimming beach for my two kids, and its location off the main road was great. The huge porch was a bonus and we ate all our meals at the outside table. The house itself was great, with a spacious, well appointed kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and had the much needed outdoor shower. Our only complaint is the gate needs to be oiled in order to make it easier to open and close. My husband hurt his foot on the gate trying to close it because it was tough to pull closed. Other than that, it was a fabulous place and we will definitely be back!

Absolute Paradise

My families vacation to Haleiwa was fantastic! The house was great and the location was perfect. If your are skeptical about a house with no A/C don't be. The breeze from the ocean and the screen doors open the house was perfect, even cool at night. I recommend it highly. A few steps from the ocean is right and the beach is very private.

This house was the very best rental house we have ever had. It was like staying at a friend's place...pots and kitchenware were of great quality, furniture and electronics were perfectly maintained and again, great quality, house had everything we needed in a GORGEOUS setting. Sea turtles on the beach, double rainbows, and whales breaching were also CRAZY nice! Thanks for a wonderful holiday!

Fantastic Beach-front home

We rented ths house for a surfing holiday. The house is located in front of the Himalayas Reef which produces some of the biggest surf in Oahu. There are turtles on the beach in front of the house and beautiful sandy beaches stretching for kilomteres. In short ideal location, beautiful cottage.

Would stay again for sure.

Perfect Beach House

This is my fourth Oahu beach house. While I have stayed in a fancier house I would say this one was the best value - great location, amazing beach. My kids (5 and 8) played and played in the sand and it was so nice not being in a huge hotel where you have to make a huge trip down to the beach from your room. The beach was totally private, usually I'd have to look 200' or more down the beach to see other people, except twice we had some folks the house next door who were out there. sea turtles were out there every day that I can remember. And the best part was that we weren't surrounded by a bunch of bikini babes and local partiers...that's distracting for a little family getaway. Thanks for the perfect stay.
