I liked that Monument Valley High School wants to improve it's institution and to help students get better connected educationally because we are placed in a rural community where we struggle to make ourselves known out there. I would like to see the students change their motivation to learn, right now they are not wanting to attend school, which could lower their chances into pursuing a higher education to get the best career they could. Perhaps teachers and staff could find a way to make learning and teaching interesting again by catching their attention towards obtaining the knowledge to learn something new.

My name is Chalyishia Tsosie I am 17 years old I lived in Monument Valley my entire life. When I was growing up we didn’t have any electricity or running water. My family and I lived like that for 8 years. What I learned from that was I was so fortunate to still have water and light. We would use oil laps for a source of light. So every other day we would haul water. Living in Monument Valley is different from all the places I visited because people here live out in the middle of nowhere. So people still don’t have running water or electricity. The store isn’t just right there we have to drive quite a ways to get there. But when I was going to school in monument Valley I really like the clubs there and sports. Sports was the one thing that kept me going. What I like to see a change is the faculty because when we would have student council we would plan fun things for students to do. We kept get a no answer or the main person wasn’t really there all the time.
